Hi everyone! I was just listening to some of my favourite songs the other day and I realised that I often underestimate the effect that music has on dancers! Because I dance so much, music has become such a huge part of my life and I appreciate it so much, it makes me feel so many different things at different times. So here are a few of the songs that I love dancing to, and that make me feel happy, sad, angry or energetic!
If you are looking for a song that will make you or the audience feel quite emotional, look no further than these beautiful songs that are full of meaningful lyrics:
– ‘Bruises’ by Lewis Capaldi
– ‘Train Wreck’ by James Arthur
– ‘Stay’ by Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko
– ‘Fire on Fire’ by Sam Smith
– ‘when the party’s over’ by Billie Eilish
– ‘Stone Cold’ by Demi Lovato
These are some songs that have amazing beats to them that I’m in love with, they make me feel really aggressive and help me attack the choreography:
– ‘The Way I Do’ by Bishop Briggs
– ‘Love on The Brain’ by Rihanna
– ‘Pray’ by Sam Smith
– ‘The River’ by Delta Goodrem
– ‘Before I Go’ by Guy Sebastian
– ‘Believer’ by Imagine Dragons
And finally, here’s the songs that make me feel absolutely amazing! I love to go crazy and just jump around to all of these songs, and hopefully you love them too!
– ‘Sucker’ by the Jonas Brothers
– ‘Good Luck’ by Basement Jaxx
– ‘Like I Can’ by Sam Smith
– ‘Silence’ by Marshmello
– ‘Something Big’ by Shawn Mendes
– ‘Feel It Still’ by Portugal, The Man
– ‘Bad Guy’ by Billie Eilish
So there they are! I love all of this music so much and it makes me feel incredible while I’m dancing. They really help to get the message across to whatever audience I’m performing for, whether it be at a show, for my family or even myself! Hopefully these songs can inspire some dancers to use music that really speaks to them. Happy dancing!
